About Me
Karen was born into a family of artists. Art is to her like food or music- it’s a necessity of life!
She grew up painting flowers that her father picked from the garden. The subjects were almost always about nature.
As a career Karen chose Residential Interior Design. This allowed an outlet for her creativity. Painting for many years had been on the back burner until recently.
She now is loose with her expression and it feels almost like listening to the rhythm of music to watch her paint. She steps into another world where other languages, symbols and guides come through onto the canvas. Her art is meditative and a source of Alchemy. Her soul transmutes onto the canvas with depth of color and pattern.
Learning Intentional Creativity has taken her imagination to another level. Each painting has a story of Myth and Legend and is like following her down a rabbit hole where anything can happen. These stories along with the paintings are healing for her soul.
Many say that the energy in her paintings shifts and heals them.

Artists responded to lines from a poem by
Edward Hirsch
For the Sleepwalkers
published in 1980
and in his book The Living Fire
published by Knopf in 2013.
Tonight I want to say something wonderful
for the sleepwalkers who have so much faith
in their legs, so much faith in the invisible...
Are my boots old? Is my coat torn?
Am I no longer young, and still not half-perfect? Let me
Keep my mind on what matters,
Which is my work,
Which is mostly standing still and learning to be astonished.
